A better path into the trades

National Trades Academy exists so people who want a trade career don't have to give up their job and income to go to school.

Skilled careers, on your schedule

Most trade programs ask you to show up in person during the day. For working adults, parents, and anyone with bills to pay, that can mean choosing between school and a paycheck.

We built a different option. Our programs are fully online and self-paced, so you can train at home after work, earn industry credentials in a short amount of time, and move into a better career on your own time.

Founded in Utah

National Trades Academy was founded by Mitchell Goodwin, a Utah native and Utah State University graduate. Mitchell started the school to give people a practical way into the trades: a digital program they can complete at home, after work, without stepping away from the income their families depend on.

Today the school is based in Orem, Utah, and serves students across the country.

Good jobs that keep the country running

More than 1.6 million Americans work as electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, and their median pay is well above the median for all U.S. jobs.*

These skills keep homes comfortable, businesses open, and new construction moving. They're careers you can grow in for decades.
